Sir,?In my notes on Vesical Calculus last month I said that if necessary to get a large enough wound in the bladder, it was preferable to open the peritoneum rather than cut down behind the symphysis. I have just had a case?the first?where this was necessary. The stone weighed 12 oz. and measured 3J" X 2f" x 2g" and the bladder was contracted on it.
